ABOUT

Life With Shenita

Dr. Shenita Treniece Connally aka Dr. C was born and raised in Pensacola, Florida to David & Bertha McCants. Shenita grew up in catholic school from 1st to 12th grade and in a Baptist faith. She calls herself a "BaptaCatho" from the mixture. Shenita grew up with her two brothers as the middle child. Her two older sisters Rosa & Joyce were grown and off to enjoy their new lives as adults. Her blended family (7 siblings) upbringing contributed to a bright perspective on life.

Shenita is a believer in new beginnings. As a mother, grandmother (affectionately called Nana) and widow, Shenita has seen her share of challenges. However, through her strong faith, relentless tenacity and deep desire to see people grow, Shenita is now committed to educating others on how to overcome obstacles and pursue a vibrant and blessed life. As a member of the John Maxwell team, certified life coach, college graduate (Bachelors in Human Resources), parent educator with the University of Georgia Cooperative Extension and a former educator now administrative staff member for the State of Georgia Public School System in Clayton County. Education is at the heart of what Shenita embraces. She uses her gifts of educating, encouraging and exhorting to help others strive for a better life through unique experiences, such as widowhood or parenting grandchildren at any age. Life with Shenita, LLC encompasses three initiatives that capture the passion and purpose of Shenita. "Life After the Rain" is a program committed to helping others experience life again and recover from heartbreak and tragedy, specifically widows and widowers. The second initiative is educational with the publishing of her first book in 2017 "Is Your House in Order?" - an initiative committed to helping people understand the importance of being financially fit and prepared for the inevitable. Her final initiative is called HYDRATE – a program encouraging the power and importance of staying hydrated, both physically and spiritually. As a woman embracing her new health and weight loss, she educates and encourages the necessity for water and faith to remain strong physically. At the core of every initiative of Life with Shenita is the passion to see people overcome every obstacle and experience "Life After the Rain!"

Shenita published her second book in January of 2019 titled "Abiding Love" which is a collaboration both of 16 other widows & widowers. God instructed her to share the love that she and her beloved deceased husband Winston shared and she extended the invitation to her circle of widows & widowers and 16 said yes. They each share a chapter in the book inspiring others to value the institution of marriage with their spouses while they can and for those who desire to marry an insight into the possibilities of marriage. Both books can be purchased on Amazon. Shenita launched her talk show "Life with Shenita" on April 16, 2020 in the midst of COVID19 as a way to educate, empower, entertain, encourage and INSPIRE others to live a VIBRANT life beyond life's challenges.  The show broadcasts live on Facebook and YouTube weekly on Thursday.  She is a novice at this new love & passion but learning to be a host, engineer and the whole shebang. She hosted the first "An Elegant Evening of Jazz" at Clayton State University on July 23, 2023 with an amazing lineup of star studded musicians. This PURPOSED-DRIVEN woman of God continues to hosts the annual walk each year in June that coincides with International Widow's Day and it' traditionally held at Clayton County International Park (Lake Spivey).

Dr. Connally received her Honorary Doctoral Degree in Christian Leadership on December 3, 2022 from the School of Great Commission Bible & Seminary College.
